I’m going to be on the East Coast in July to promote my new book, Gang Politics. The book collects three essays on the politicization and policing of gangs, especially during the 1960s, the 1990s, and today.

I had a really good discussion with the host of Coffee with Comrades. We cover the basics of my new book, Gang Politics, and go more deeply into questions about the ethics of violence. Despite the casual tone, I could tell that they had thought very carefully about the book and the ideas in it. The result is more of a discussion, with actual give and take, and less of a standard interview. I think it is worth a listen.
Goodreads is giving away ten copies of my latest, Gang Politics: Revolution, Repression, and Crime. Register by June 27.

The first fifty people to order my book Gang Politics will receive a free embroidered patch!
